The Alé PR.E Crew women’s jersey sits in the PR.E line, blending pro-team inspiration with technical fabrics and a more expressive look.
This Crew version is defined by an abstract print in shades of pink, purple and a very pale pink. The fit is close, with a well-judged length and sleeves that hug the arms.
The jersey is aimed at fast-paced rides where breathability, a secure fit and practical storage for the essentials matter.
In testing, the jersey felt light, comfortable and well fitted. The pockets held items securely and the hem gripper kept the jersey put. Its colourful style will come down to personal taste.
The Alé R-EV1 Crew women’s bib shorts are the most technical piece in the Crew kit we tested. They use a clean, purple construction with logo accents that echo the jersey.
They feature the Intense 10W chamois, made from elastic microfibre with memory-foam padding placed at key contact points. The claimed thickness is 8 mm.
The lack of a leg gripper aims to improve comfort and make them easier to pull on, while still keeping things stable under effort.
The bib shorts stood out for very high comfort, a stable chamois and a well-judged cut. The absence of a gripper caused no hold issues in testing. It is the most convincing piece of the set.
The Alé Crew aero socks round out the outfit with a more discreet look than the jersey. Light grey branding on white avoids the overly loud appearance often associated with aero socks.
They suit riders after a technical sock with a secure hold, but without overt branding.
The socks stayed put without slipping or twisting. Availability in small sizes is a real plus, especially for riders who struggle to find well-proportioned aero socks.
