Learn more about Hugo :

Hugo Guilbaud is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Gravel Passion, an independent media outlet specialising in road and gravel cycling, equipment, and cycling culture. Through his articles, reviews and analysis, he aims to decode how gear is evolving, market trends, and how cyclists really ride.

A passionate cyclist and a close observer of the industry, he has, for several years, developed an editorial approach centred on real-world riding, transparent testing, and explaining the technical choices behind products. His goal is to help cyclists find their way in a constantly changing market.

At Gravel Passion, Hugo produces bike and equipment reviews, analysis of the cycling industry, and content designed to make the sector’s technical innovations easier to understand. He also initiated several of the outlet’s editorial projects, such as the annual study on cyclists’ habits and equipment, which has become a reference for understanding how people actually ride.

Alongside this, he also develops Le Pignon Libre, a media outlet dedicated to the economics and business challenges of the cycling industry, offering an additional perspective on the sector’s transformation.

Through his work, Hugo promotes a vision of cycling built on editorial independence, education, and a critical approach to equipment, to provide cyclists with reliable, useful information for making better gear choices.
