Long Ride Ready. Scott revamps its endurance bike with a completely rethought Addict: more comfortable, more practical, more versatile. But without sacrificing the sporty temperament of the line. Here’s what you need to know.

The Scott Addict 2026 claims double the comfort versus its predecessor thanks to 38 mm tyres and new tube profiles.

The new Addict fully embraces a strong endurance focus: Scott claims double the comfort compared to the previous generation (+25% versus the Addict RC) thanks to work on tube profiles (a slimmer seat tube and top tube, lower seatstays) and the adoption of up to 38 mm tyres that allow lower pressures.
The frame now integrates a repair kit accessible under the bottom bracket and mounts for a frame bag, while standardised T25 hardware is adjusted with the T25 tool hidden in the bar-end plug.
The position becomes more natural with stack raised by 5 mm and reach shortened by 5 mm: without spacers, you get the height of an Addict RC (tested a few months ago) fitted with 35 mm of spacers. On the chassis side, the RC’s steering and bottom bracket stiffness are retained, with two layups:
A two-piece cockpit, a 27.2 mm seatpost (with integrated light), a UDH derailleur hanger, chainstays shortened to 418 mm and a slightly lower bottom bracket. Sizes run from 47 to 61.
Scott reworked key tube sections: a slimmed seat tube that flexes forward, a thinner top tube, and dropped seatstays to dissipate vibrations. The integrated storage in the down tube carries a tube, tyre levers, mini pump/CO₂… and keeps weight low and centred so handling isn’t compromised.
Mounting points under the top tube take a Syncros frame bag, freeing up your pockets for long rides.
The Addict 2026 is built to go all day without ‘breaking’ your back: slightly higher stack, slightly shorter reach. Result: a more natural posture, but a front end that keeps RC-level stiffness. 418 mm chainstays and a slightly lower bottom bracket stabilise your line, especially with higher-volume tyres.
Moving to 38 mm opens the door to broken tarmac, gravelly switchbacks and fast-rolling tracks. You drop pressure, gain comfort, traction and often real-world efficiency on imperfect roads. The Addict clearly embraces this all-road vision.
Day to day, the Addict aims to be simple and pragmatic: almost all adjustments are done with a single T25 key, handy for tweaking stem, handlebar, seatpost, seatpost head and even bottle cages, with the tool stored in the bar-end plug so it’s on hand before you roll out or mid-ride.
The storage compartment integrated into the down tube lets you carry a tube, tyre levers and a pump/CO₂ while keeping weight low and centred, while the 27.2 mm post’s compatibility with the “comfort” version featuring an integrated rear light makes life easier when the light fades.
Adoption of the universal UDH derailleur hanger makes roadside fixes easier, and the frame-bag mounts free up your pockets for long days. The only caveat to watch in practice: access via the hatch under the bottom bracket will require a minimum of care in very muddy conditions.
