Shimano
Shimano is behind numerous bicycle components worldwide. Shimano: the history of the leader in bicycle equipment Shimano, a Japanese company founded in 1921 by Shozaburo Shimano, began production by making a simple freewheel sprocket. Over the years, the company grew and launched several groundbreaking products. In 1956, it released a derailleur that was in fact a copy of the “1950 Simplex”. Then, in 1976, it brought the famed DURA ACE-10 to market, which met with great success. In 1982, it introduced Shimano 105, which also proved very popular with cyclists around the world. Since then, Shimano has become the undisputed leader in the production of bicycle equipment such as derailleurs, shifters and brake levers, pedals, wheels and much more. Shimano products are now highly appreciated for their quality, performance and durability.
