The Matchy Ultra Lite is a cycling jersey designed for long distances, hot-weather rides and situations where self-sufficiency matters as much as low weight. It targets road and gravel riders who want to carry more than a standard jersey allows, without stepping up to a skinsuit or hydration vest.

The Pure White model we tested is priced at 299 €. It’s sold without a hydration bladder. Matchy highlights French-sourced materials, claimed Made in France manufacturing, a compressive, aerodynamic fit, and ideal use above 25 °C.

Recommended use

This jersey targets long rides, ultra-distance, multi-hour road training sessions and fast gravel rides where you want direct access to water and nutrition. The white colourway also helps in very hot weather, absorbing less heat than darker fabrics.

Good to know

• The hydration bladder is not supplied with the jersey
• The bladder inserts from the side, so it’s best done before you put the jersey on
• Compatibility with a 2-litre bladder was not confirmed during our test
• The jersey has no small secure zipped pocket

After two months of use on long road and gravel rides, the standout is load stability. With a 1.5-litre bladder and several pockets in play, the jersey stays stable and comfortable, without tugging unduly at the shoulders. The price is undeniably high, but the technical execution, low weight and build quality make a strong case for riders who go long.
