With the new EDR CF Ultra, Van Rysel continues to cement its presence in the cycling world with an endurance-focused model. The evolution of this range follows the brand’s previous successes, such as the RCR. This bike isn’t just another release, but a genuine response to growing demand for machines that don’t compromise between performance and comfort over long events.
🚀 In brief:
Van Rysel launches the endurance-oriented EDR CF Ultra, with a carbon frame weighing 830 g in size M.
Available in 5 sizes, it offers clearance for tyres up to 38 mm for greater versatility.
Prices range from €3,500 to €5,100 depending on the build.
The EDR CF Ultra frame uses the same carbon as the RCR, with a weight of just 830 g in size M. It stands out with geometry tailored for endurance, pairing a shorter reach with a taller stack, without sacrificing aerodynamic performance thanks to its NACA-profile tubes. The bike comes in 5 sizes.

The emphasis is clearly on long-distance comfort, while still offering the option to fit tyres up to 38 mm for better adaptation to varied roads.
Cockpit integration remains conventional, but that’s a deliberate move from Van Rysel to retain ease of use while optimising aerodynamics and ergonomics. Note too that the handlebar is carbon.
Options like a third bottle-cage mount and rack mounts further increase this model’s versatility.
For two of the builds, Van Rysel specs SwissSide Hadron Allroad 350 wheelsets, underscoring a desire to deliver high-end performance even in the mid-range. For those who ride after dark, one build is equipped with a dynamo hub, a front light and a USB port, no small detail for ultra-distance.
This special edition also comes with SRAM Force power meters. Priced under €5,100, it’s a compelling package.
At €4,900 there’s an Ultegra Di2 version featuring a handsome khaki green frame. Finally, the last build in 105 Di2 is offered at €3,500.
