Lapierre Crosshill CF - Tout savoir

An innovative UD SL carbon frame

The heart of the Crosshill CF lies in its UD SL carbon frame (Unidirectional Super Light). This design strikes a fine balance between low weight and stiffness, two qualities essential for a high-performance gravel bike. The frame weighs just 1,000 g in size M, unpainted. Lapierre uses an exclusive layup around a latex-coated core, a technique that optimises compression of the carbon plies. The result is not only excellent responsiveness but also superior vibration damping – a major asset on rough terrain.

The frame also integrates Lapierre’s 3D Tubular E, which is more than a styling cue. This construction allows the seat tube to remain free along its entire length, increasing flexibility and shock absorption. According to the manufacturer, this delivers a 12% improvement in vibration absorption at 40 km/h.

A geometry tailored for performance

The Crosshill CF geometry has been reworked to offer an optimal balance of speed, responsiveness and long-distance comfort. Compared with its aluminium predecessor, the new model features:

  • A slightly shorter top tube for a more compact position
  • A steeper seat angle (by 1.5 to 3.5° depending on size) for more efficient pedalling
  • Chainstays shortened to 430 mm for greater responsiveness when accelerating
  • A bottom bracket raised by 4 to 5 mm for better clearance over obstacles

High-end spec for optimal performance

Lapierre hasn’t cut corners on component quality for the Crosshill CF. The top-tier models feature SRAM AXS and Shimano GRX Di2 electronic groupsets, delivering precise shifts that help maintain a steady rhythm across varied terrain. DT Swiss wheels, renowned for reliability and performance, appear across the range. The flagship models even benefit from GRC 1600 carbon rims, combining low weight and aerodynamics.

As for tyres, the WTB Raddler TCS Light in 700 x 44c offer an excellent balance of grip and rolling speed. Their tubeless compatibility lets you run lower pressures, further boosting comfort and traction on demanding tracks.

The Crosshill CF range stands out for its versatility, with models suited to different rider profiles. The table below summarises the main characteristics of the key models:
