Van Rysel RCR bib shorts - Tout savoir

The Van Rysel RCR women’s bib shorts are short bibs designed for road cycling and performance riding in summer conditions. They’re rated for a temperature range of 15 to 35°C.

The tested model comes in a concrete grey colourway, with a recommended retail price of €69.99. It uses an Elastic Interface® Performance 2.5 HD / Paris HP Women chamois, developed for female anatomy.

Key features

  • Women’s-specific fit
  • Built for performance road riding and racing
  • Elastic Interface® Paris HP Women chamois
  • High-density inserts at pressure points
  • Wide bib straps with chest-friendly routing
  • Back ventilation
  • Reflective detail at the rear of the left leg
  • Low front rise

These bib shorts target riders looking for strong comfort without a steep spend. The chamois is the headline feature, providing pleasant support on multi-hour rides.

The concrete grey colour comes with a major caveat: moisture and sweat can become visible very quickly, especially around the seams and the chamois area.

Tested by GravelPassion

Chamois comfort is very convincing for the price, with dependable support for roughly 4 to 5 hours in our test. However, the grey colour significantly reduces the appeal of the tested model; a black version seems much easier to recommend.
