Abus

ABUS is a German company founded in 1924 by August Bremicker and his sons in Volmarstein, near Wetter, Germany. The company started out in the basement of the family home developing and manufacturing padlocks. Despite fierce competition, ABUS quickly found success and soon employed 300 people. In 1929, the company acquired a production site in Volmarstein, which is still operating today.
