The Van Rysel RCR-R is a carbon-soled road shoe for riders chasing performance without sacrificing long-distance comfort. It pairs a 100% carbon outsole with a dual habu Li2 closure and a fit designed to limit pressure points.

Design

The upper uses an asymmetrical closure with textile straps in place of plastic lace guides. The forefoot is 3 mm wider to boost comfort while maintaining a precise, secure hold.

Closure

The twin habu Li2 dials, developed by BOA Technology, offer precise micro-adjustment. The dials and laces of the habu Fit System are covered for the lifetime of the product they’re fitted to.

Our take

After more than 2,800 km of reported use, the RCR-R stands out for its comfort and its ability to disappear on long rides. It isn’t the most ventilated in very hot conditions nor the lightest versus some competitors, but its balance of comfort, full-carbon sole, finish, and price makes it a very convincing proposition.
