Trek

Founded in late 1975 by Richard Burke and Biseau Hogg in Waterloo, Wisconsin, TREK quickly positioned itself in the mid- to high-end market with hand-built steel frames. The origin of the TREK brand After a spell within bicycle distributor Roth Corporation, Trek soon became independent and opened its first bike shop in 1977. Despite not having a large-scale factory, the brand enjoyed huge success through the 1980s and saw sales soar. To step things up, Trek moved into new 2,400 m² premises on the outskirts of Waterloo. TREK gravel bikes Since then, Trek has continued to grow by offering complete gravel bike ranges and by specialising in the sale of spare parts and accessories. It also moved successfully into manufacturing aluminium and carbon fibre frames. Today, Trek is a major player in the cycling industry, with a strong team of researchers and engineers who work tirelessly to produce gravel bikes that are ever more cutting-edge and competitive. Several million Trek bikes are in use worldwide, which attests to the exceptional quality of the brand.
