Origine Fraxion X is a performance-focused carbon road bike built around an aero, lightweight and customisable chassis. This isn’t just a simple evolution of the Fraxion GTR: Origine has reworked the frame, fork, head tube and cockpit to deliver a more radical platform.
The high-modulus carbon frame uses the brand’s SmartLay manufacturing process. Origine claims a frame-only weight of 875 g, increased stiffness at the head tube and bottom bracket, and a claimed aerodynamic saving of 15 W at 40 km/h. The Fraxion X accepts tyres up to 32 mm and adds UDH compatibility.
The Fraxion X comes with the integrated Prymahl AeroFlow cockpit, developed as an extension of the frame. It’s offered in several width, length and rise options to dial in your position. Available widths are 380, 400 and 420 mm, with lengths from 80 to 120 mm and rises of 0, 10 or 20 mm.
Origine also offers several carbon layups: Core, more forgiving, Lite, lighter and more responsive, and an RR version aimed at the very high end with lighter components.
The Fraxion X is aimed at trained road cyclists, racers and sportive riders looking for a fast, precise and customisable bike. Its tyre clearance up to 32 mm lets you tackle varied road surfaces, but its focus remains squarely on performance.
On first impressions, the Fraxion X stands out for its precise front end, well-judged cockpit ergonomics and a palpable sense of efficiency. It’ll need a longer test for a full verdict, but it already looks like one of the most ambitious and distinctive models in the Origine line-up.
