A little over a year after establishing the NAII BR as its most race-focused gravel bike, Berria expands the family with the NAII X. The brief is clear: keep a sporty silhouette, but open the bike up to less exclusive use.
The NAII X arrives as a more accessible version, both in price and in behaviour. The Spanish brand drops the Softex system from the Berria NAII BR and instead opts for a simpler carbon platform, integrated storage and more mounting points.

This is not presented as a pure adventure bike. Berria instead talks about a performance gravel capable of stepping outside the race box: ride fast, go long, carry a bit, keep a sporty position without locking the rider into a single use.
First key point: all NAII X models use the same Full Carbon HM2X frame, including the Essential versions. Berria is therefore not reserving the carbon platform for the most expensive builds.
The differences between models are mainly the groupset, wheelset, cockpit, seatpost and finishing kit. That is a healthy approach for a range starting at €2,199: we are not talking about a cut-price entry-level frame, but the same chassis offered with several equipment levels.
The range spans six sizes, from XXS to XL, with a stated fit for riders from under 150 cm to over 190 cm.
Compared to the NAII BR, the NAII X adopts a 10 mm taller head tube. This detail says a lot about the positioning: Berria is not simply trying to make a cheaper version of its race gravel, but a less radical bike, easier to sustain on long days.
The chainstays remain short for a versatile gravel bike, at 420 mm across all sizes. The head angle ranges from 70.5° to 72° depending on size. The brand calls it a Versatile Racing Geometry: marketing phrasing, certainly, but the intention is clear. Keep the responsiveness without falling into an overly race-specialised geometry.
The other visible change is the disappearance of Softex. On the NAII BR, this system contributed to the bike’s comfort/performance narrative. On the NAII X, Berria returns to a more conventional construction.
The NAII X accepts tyres up to 50 mm. That is a very solid figure for a performance-focused carbon gravel, especially if you want to keep some headroom between a fast setup and rougher terrain.
Berria does not spec every version the same way. The NAII X Essential GRX400 receives Vittoria Terreno T30 in 40 mm, more fast-rolling in spirit. The other models get Vittoria Terreno T50 in 45 mm, which fits better with the idea of a bike able to ride long, sometimes loaded, on rougher tracks.
The NAII X gets an integrated storage compartment in the frame, with a supplied internal pouch. The aim is simple: carry an inner tube, CO₂ cartridge, tyre levers, mini-tool or small parts without multiplying visible bags.
Berria also adds bikepacking-oriented mounting points, notably on the fork. Again, the message is quite precise: the NAII X is not designed as a slow touring bike, but it should be able to accept a heavier setup when the itinerary gets longer.
Berria offers a choice of 1x and 2x drivetrains, with Shimano and SRAM builds, mechanical or electronic depending on the version. That is consistent with the bike’s positioning: a roadie will often appreciate the progression of a double chainset, whereas a more adventure- or terrain-focused rider may prefer the simplicity of a single chainring.
The NAII X also adopts the UDH standard, now almost unavoidable on recent gravel bikes, notably to ease compatibility with modern drivetrains and to simplify derailleur hanger replacement.
The range starts with the NAII X Essential GRX400, listed from €2,199. It is the most accessible build, with Shimano GRX400 2×10, Vision Team 30 aluminium TLR wheelset and Vittoria Terreno T30 tyres in 40 mm. A logical choice to get into carbon gravel with a simple, familiar drivetrain and reassuring gear spacing.
At €2,499, the NAII X Essential Apex Mullet moves to SRAM Apex 1×12 with an Eagle 11-50 cassette and Vittoria Terreno T50 tyres in 45 mm. This is probably the version most geared towards climbing and bikepacking, thanks to its huge climbing range.
The NAII X Pro GRX800, from €2,999, marks the entry into the Pro range with a Shimano GRX800 2×12, still on a Vision Team 30 aluminium wheelset. It is an interesting build for those who want sporty behaviour, a higher-spec mechanical groupset and real road/gravel versatility.
The Pro Apex XPLR AXS, announced at €3,399, adds wireless electronic shifting with SRAM Apex XPLR AXS 1×12. Above that, the Pro Rival XPLR AXS PWM climbs to €4,599 with SRAM Rival XPLR AXS 1×13, integrated power meter, Vision TC45 carbon wheels and an Avanforce Airone GR integrated carbon cockpit.
Finally, the Pro GRX800 Di2 tops the line from €4,799, with Shimano GRX800 Di2 2×12, Vision TC45 carbon wheels, integrated cockpit and an 11-34 cassette for tighter steps. A configuration that will appeal more to fast riders, often on road or fast-rolling gravel, who want to keep a precise cadence.
The NAII X arrives in a very current niche: that of a fast carbon gravel, but less confined to pure racing. Berria is not trying to make the NAII BR disappear; the brand is creating a simpler, more accessible neighbour, easier to justify for varied riding.
The good signals are there: carbon frame common to the whole range, tyre clearance up to 50 mm, internal storage, 1x/2x compatibility, UDH, cargo mounts. These are choices that speak to real riders, not just a launch sheet.
As it stands, the Berria NAII X looks especially interesting for those who want a sporty carbon gravel bike but refuse to choose between fast rides, long days and short trips. A bike less radical than the NAII BR, but perhaps easier to live with day to day.
