Pinarello unveils a new gravel bike at €14,000!

Pinarello has unveiled its Dogma GR gravel race bike, billed as ‘the lightest aerodynamic gravel race bike’. True to the Dogma lineage, it blends low weight, aero shaping and a lofty price tag.

A gravel bike built for racing

This model carries over Pinarello’s hallmark racing DNA from its road bikes to deliver a no-compromise race machine. As with Cervelo and Orbea, its racing gravel bike leans more towards the road than MTB: steep angles, agile handling and tight tyre clearances.

The Dogma GR is a race bike squarely focused on competition with aerodynamic tubes and steep angles. Former British gravel champion and current Ineos rider Connor Swift played a key role in its development.

Weighing 960 g, the frame is impressively light, especially for an aerodynamic frame designed for fast gravel. The complete bike, built with SRAM Red AXS, a Princeton Grit 4540 EVO wheelset and 40 mm Vittoria tyres, comes in at 7.35 kg.

This performance stems from the long-standing collaboration between Toray and Pinarello, using the same Toray M40X fibre as the Dogma F.

The frame silhouette is similar to the road version, but with more rounded contours for a softer look. Features include an aero ‘keel’ around the bottom bracket and curved Onda forks. The race geometry resembles the Crossista, with an extra 10 mm of reach for quicker responses.

Pinarello has opted for the same carbon handlebar and stem as on its road range. Although a little less flared than the off-road norm, it features two threaded mounts for optional gravel TT extensions.

Designed for shorter races, the Dogma GR trades a bit of comfort compared with the Grevil F. Nevertheless, it features a D-shaped Adaptive seatpost to help reduce vibrations on rough tracks. Both models also offer internal storage.

Tyre clearance is 45 mm at the front and 42 mm at the rear, bucking the current trend towards wider tyres.

Price and availability

Offered in 11 sizes and three finishes, the Dogma GR comes in Interstellar Grey Matte, Luxter Blue and Matt Black. The builds, all race-focused, include SRAM Red XPLR and Shimano Dura-Ace, with prices exceeding €14,000 depending on the specification. A frameset-only option is also available at €6,700.
